when I am down, would you take my stand?
When I am lost, would you guide me home,
or would you not, would you let me roam?
When you're alone, could I come to you,
when you're going, could I follow you?
When you're crying, could I comfort you,
or could I not, only cry with you?
If I'd ask you, would you be my wife,
if I would mine, would you share your life?
If I'd ask you, would you be mother,
to our kids, or not even bother?
